We realise it’s been a while since you heard from our sponsored guide dog Seamus, so here’s the long-awaited update. 

Seamus the Golden Retriever is now just over 18 months old, and he has grown so much! 

While very much still a puppy at heart, he is now confident in busy locations and enjoys mixing with many different people. Thanks to his extensive training he is also comfortable in lifts and on stairs and settles well in social settings like cafes. 

The work never stops, with Seamus set for his latest training sessions in a few weeks under the expert care of the Guide Dogs. 

BSS’ partnership with the Guide Dogs has made it possible for Seamus to continue his journey, as he becomes a fully-fledged guide dog. 

Due to the generosity of our customers and our friends at The Archer Pub, we’ve now raised over £15,000 which covers the sponsorship cost of Seamus, but also two other guide dogs Hilda and Brian, who will all provide independence for someone in need. 

Remember your donations, no matter big or small, will continue to provide more independence and joy into people’s lives.
