Beyond Surface Solutions donates paint supplies to food bank project

Beyond Surface Solutions were happy to help to support a YMCA led charity project this summer with a product donation to help repaint Blurton Food Bank.

We donated overalls, brushes, rollers, masking tape and 20 litres of white emulsion to a project managed by the YMCA to repaint the Blurton Food Bank warehouse room.

The donation was to help a NCS project which is a 4 week programme for school leavers. The first week was an outwards bound residential to Pembrokeshire, and the second week was based around independence and confidence building. The third and fourth weeks, the teams planned and implemented a two week social action plan to help their community. bss donates paint supplies to YMCA food bank project

Mobile Paint Solutions, a customer of bss, approached us for help when the owner’s daughter joined the NCS Project. The daughter, Hannah joined by school friends, went to local shops and offices to try and get donations for their chosen charity. Hannah was asked to approach people, which gave her confidence and in return helped others too.

Our Business Development Director , Steve O’Reilly, said: “We were thrilled to be able to help not only Hannah, who approached us for the donation, but the YMCA and the Food Bank too.

“We have a strong belief in doing our bit and helping charities. It was great to have played a part in such a good cause, well done Hannah and co for the great work.”
