BSS guide dog starts his training

We’re so pleased to give you an update on our guide dog puppy Brian. He is doing really well and growing every week.

In the past few months he has started to transform and become a responsible guide dog.

Now 8 weeks old, Brian is learning to explore his new environment at the National Breeding Centre.

He is enjoying the variety of indoor and outdoor play areas and socialising with the other puppies at the centre.

Brian will soon have his own dedicated Puppy Walker who will look after him and teach good social behaviours, like:

  • Getting used to different sights and sounds
  • Feeling confident walking in town centres
  • Understanding how to use public transport

It’s incredible to think Brian will soon be helping someone living with sight loss to help improve their lives for the better.

It’s so important to support the Guide Dogs charity. At BSS we’re keen to follow Brian’s progress in memory of one of our close family members.

We can’t wait to see what Brian gets up to next! Want to find out about how to support this amazing charity? Find more information at https://www.guidedogs.org.uk

Remember to check back next month to see how Brian is progressing with his training, we’ll be sharing regular pupdates as he grows!
